INMAN PERK
GAINESVILLE SQUARE
GRAND OPENING

05.23.2008
11:30 A.M.

Inman Perk Coffee was once just a family’s idea—an idea to bring really good coffee and a warm, comfortable atmosphere to the Inman Park neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia. Inman Park is often called “Atlanta`s Oldest Neighborhood” and it thrives as a community of people who are interested in making their neighborhood and the world a better place. Inman Perk Coffee believes in that goal. That is why we have worked hard to serve our community and environment through our products, practices, and stores. Not only do we want to serve the best coffee, but we want you and your friends and family to be able to enjoy that coffee for generations to come.

Today, our Inman Park location thrives as one of the central community spots in Atlanta. It is a place where artists draw their sketches, writers write their books, and people meet and enjoy each other’s company on a daily basis. Consistently rated as one of the best coffee houses in Atlanta, our customers are constantly telling us what a good thing we have going . . . so we decided it was time to spread the love and touch another community that is close to us. That is why Inman Perk Coffee is more than happy to announce its newest location on the downtown square in Gainesville, Georgia!

Gainesville has long been the family home of the members of Inman Perk Coffee. Being locals, we have walked the downtown square for several decades . . . and that is why we are excited to have the opportunity to bring our new recipe to town! On May 23rd at 11:30 am, we would like to invite all of Gainesville to come to our ribbon cutting and check out Inman Perk Coffee on the Gainesville Square – a masterful restoration project of the 102 Washington St. NW. building which includes almost 100% reused, repurposed, and green materials . . . and the best part is that it was all built by a single local master craftsman and our family and friends.

Whether you stop in regularly on your way to work in the mornings, or you bring your friends on special occasions for a fabulous evening of dessert and conversation, we hope you’ll be able to see the love and care we’ve put into Inman Perk to make it a truly unique and special coffee shop. Not only are our drinks made to exact standards—which our Golden Cup Award and commitment to Sustainable Coffee and Fair Trade products show—but our staff is genuinely concerned about making your moments at Inman Perk a pleasure.

Stop by on May 23rd to experience a variety of delicious specialty hot and cold beverages—along with decadent desserts, engaging artwork, and a free wireless Internet hotspot – and come see why we are “One of Life’s Little Perks!”

Art by Kelly Teasley

October 26, 2007
7:00 pmto10:00 pm

We are pleased to show the artwork of Kelly Teasley at the Inman Park location for the month of October. Kelly is an Atlanta based artist living in Grant Park and co-owner of Youngblood Gallery & Boutique. Her work features small format drawings and paintings with text together on paper or wood, framed in unique vintage painted frames.

About her work, Kelly says, “I like to write a lot on my drawings-don’t ask me what they say –because I don’t know. I usually write them in the moment and have a hard time reading my scribbles later. Some of the drawings are more personal and have a story, some are just fun reoccurring characters/illustrations that find themselves in my work a lot.”

Please join us for a reception on Friday, October 26 from 7:00pm to 10:00pm.

7:00 pmto10:00 pm

We are proud to welcome “Things Left Behind: an urban exploration” by outstanding photographer Otto Kitchens at our Inman Park shop for the month of September. Otto provides us with compelling, and at times, haunting imagery from abandoned structures such as warehouses, factories, asylums, and a train depot. This group of photographs were captured with his arsenal of film cameras that range from high precision cameras to cheap plastic cameras.

Please join us for a closing reception Saturday, September 29 from 7:00pm-10:00pm. To enjoy more work from this photographer visit his photo web site, www.ottokphotography.com, which was recently inducted into photoblog.org’s Hall of Fame. Also, check out his photography in the “Plastic Makes Perfect: Atlanta Celebrates Photography” group show at Beep Beep Gallery at 696 Charles Allen Dr., Sept. 22 - Oct. 14, 2007.
